Record Turnout for Detroit PROFINET Training Class

Scottsdale, AZ – March 23: The PTO (formerly the PROFIBUS Trade Organization) is proud to announce that it’s 2009 PROFINET Training Class schedule started with record attendance at its March 11, 2009 Training Class. Over 130 engineers, autoworkers, system integrators and end-users gathered at the Detroit Marriott in Troy, MI to learn the value of PROFINET as an Industrial Ethernet standard.
The training was provided by professionals from the PTO and the PROFI Interface Center and showcased the newly redesigned “hands-on” training format. Unlike other training classes, attendees learned about PROFINET through the exploration of real world examples and architectures.

"Detroit was the perfect venue to unveil the newest version of our PROFINET Training Class," said Carl Henning, Deputy Director of the PTO. "Our audience was filled with professionals with years of industrial automation experience and many asked when the PTO would be conducting the next class in the Michigan area! This is proof positive that despite an economic downturn, industrial automation professionals see the value in expanding their skills to be ready for the future."

The training was designed to take attendees through the world of PROFINET Industrial Ethernet from the ground up,” commented Hunter Harrington, PROFINET Training Class Chief Instructor. "We take extreme pride in being able to provide industrial automation professionals with highly technical training that is based on solving real world problems with proven PROFINET solutions."
