Review
Description of Fruits of Automation:
Remember the sound machines make in movies when they're just about to blow up? That's "Gigantor."
Do you know the grating noise a saw makes if you leave it on for three hours straight? That's "Gort."
Experimenting with industrial and disturbingly antiseptic soundscapes, Solid Eye have managed to create
some of the most far-out, disjointed, non-musical music of the '90s (and possibly beyond).
Upon first listen, the record is thought-provoking -- inducing both giddiness and shock --
while further listenings cause uncertainty.
